Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Joba (Arabic: جوبا) — the website (currently
https://joba-rouge.vercel.app) and mobile app (the "Platform"). Joba is
operated from Kuwait by its founder; a formal operating entity is being
established and these Terms will be updated with its details. By using the
Platform you agree to these Terms.
1. What Joba is — and is not
Joba is a directory that connects Consumers with independent service Providers.
- We are not a party to any agreement between a Consumer and a Provider.
- We are not the employer, agent, or partner of any Provider; Providers are independent third parties.
- We do not perform the services, and we do not handle payment between Consumers and Providers — you deal and pay directly with each other.
- Any contract for services is solely between the Consumer and the Provider.
2. No verification or guarantee
Unless we explicitly and specifically state otherwise for a given Provider, we do not verify, vet, license-check, endorse, or guarantee any Provider, their qualifications, or the quality, safety, or legality of their work. Ratings and reviews are user-generated opinions, not our endorsement. You are responsible for your own due diligence before engaging a Provider.
3. Consumers
- The Platform is free for Consumers.
- Sending a contact request ("lead") shares your contact details with the chosen Provider so they can reach you. You may be asked to verify your phone number or email with a one-time code when you send a request.
- You engage Providers, agree scope and price, and pay them directly and at your own risk.
4. Providers
- You must keep your listing accurate and only offer services you are lawfully able to provide.
- You are responsible for your own licensing, insurance, taxes, and legal compliance.
- You must respond to leads professionally and must not misuse Consumer contact data beyond responding to their request.
- Paid subscription terms (if/when introduced) will be presented separately at sign-up.
5. User content and reviews
- You retain your content but grant Joba a licence to host and display it to operate the service.
- Reviews must be honest, relate to a genuine interaction, and must not be defamatory, false, harassing, hateful, or unlawful.
- We may moderate, remove, or refuse content and act on reports under our Moderation & Takedown SOP. Defamatory or unlawful content will be removed.
6. Prohibited conduct
No unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or infringing use; no scraping, spam, or attempts to circumvent security; no impersonation; no misuse of others' data.
7. Availability
The Platform is directed at users in the Arab-world markets we list in the app and on the website. It is not directed at, or offered to, users in the European Union.
8. Disclaimers and liability
- The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available."
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Joba is not liable for the acts, omissions, conduct, work quality, or disputes of any Consumer or Provider, or for any loss arising from services arranged through the Platform.
- Disputes about the services are between the Consumer and Provider; we may, but are not obliged to, assist.
- Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Joba against claims arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your dealings with other users, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect users or the Platform.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
12. Changes and contact
